NDIS fraud

What is fraud?

Fraud is a type of crime in which someone intentionally deceives or tricks another person in order to gain something of value.

Fraud can be committed in a variety of ways, including through identity theft, false advertising, and embezzlement. Fraudulent activity can cause financial losses and damage to victims’ reputations. Some types of fraud are also punishable by law.

How to report fraud

You must inform the NDIA if you have any suspicions that someone is misusing your NDIS plan. Reporting alleged fraud can be done by contacting the NDIA directly through the fraud reporting line
1800 650 717 or emailing fraudreporting@ndis.gov.au

Alternatively, you can also report fraud to the NDIS Commission

When it comes to providing support and services to persons with disabilities, the NDIS Commission and NDIA will be collaborating to resolve the issue.
