NDIS Minister, Bill Shorten has reassured participants will continue to be supported with appropriate and targeted responses. This will reflect the significant health risks many people continue to face as a result of COVID-19.
We want to reassure participants, that the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has updated its response to COVID-19, which includes the ability for eligible participants to purchase devices such as portable air purifiers using funds from their NDIS plan.
This is intended to improve air quality in critical living areas of your home so that you can safely continue to receive support at home.
“The Albanian government will remain vigilant to ensure the safety of Australians who are more vulnerable to the health impacts of COVID-19,” said Minister Shorten.
“Staying up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations continues to be the best way for people with disabilities to protect themselves from serious illness and death.
